Dlivri ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Dlivri rider app, Dlivri Captain driver app, and related web services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.
By using Dlivri, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Phone number (used for account creation and login)
- Full name and profile photo
- For drivers: Ghana Card, driver's licence, vehicle registration documents
- Payment information (processed securely by Paystack — we do not store card numbers)
- Emergency contact details (optional)
Information collected automatically:
- Location data (GPS coordinates during trips and while online as a driver)
- Device information (device model, operating system, unique device ID)
- App usage data (screens visited, features used, session duration)
- Trip data (pickup location, destination, route, fare, timestamps)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To match riders with nearby available drivers
- To process payments and send receipts
- To display your trip progress and live tracking
- To verify driver identity and vehicle eligibility
- To send trip notifications and service updates via SMS and push notifications
- To investigate safety incidents and resolve disputes
- To improve the Service and develop new features
- To comply with Ghanaian law and regulatory requirements
4. Location Data
Dlivri requires location access to function. We collect your location:
- Riders: When you open the app to book a ride, during active trips, and when you share your trip.
- Drivers: Continuously while you are online to enable nearby rider matching and live tracking.
We do not sell your location data to third parties. Location history is retained for safety and dispute resolution purposes for 12 months.
5. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only as described below:
- Drivers and riders: Basic profile information (first name, photo, vehicle details) is shared between matched riders and drivers during an active trip.
- Payment processors: Paystack processes all payment transactions. See Paystack's privacy policy at paystack.com.
- Fleet companies: If you are a driver who has joined a fleet, the fleet owner can see your trips, online status, and earnings for the trips completed while in their fleet.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by Ghanaian law, court order, or law enforcement authorities.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Authentication, TLS encryption in transit, and Firestore security rules. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Trip and payment records are retained for 3 years for financial compliance. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@dlivri.app. Note that certain records may be retained where required by law.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Withdraw consent to location tracking (note: this will prevent the Service from functioning)
